Station 5-2 Requests Assistance from Boro/Township Residents
By Firefighter Ken Baker
February 9, 2010
It is snowing here in town as we speak... Mother Nature is hitting us with a second blast of significant snow fall.
The volunteers from Station 5-2 would like to remind people that as you are shoveling your way out of the snow - take a few extra moments and clear out the area around any fire hydrants on your property.
In the event of a fire or other situation, our effort to protect you and/or your property can be greatly hampered if we cannot get access to a fire hydrant quickly.
You and your neighbors would be helping to make us all safer in the event that our services may be needed.
Be safe, enjoy the snow and the vollies from Station 5-2 thank you for helping us protect and serve the Christiana Borough and neighboring communities!!!
Fire hydrants like this can make firefighting efforts HARD - please help out by clearing areas around the hydrants from snow - THANK YOU!!!
