Wednesday, November 1, 2017 This morning at 03:47, Christiana Fire Company ( 52 ) along with mutual aid companies were dispatched for a commercial building fire at Valley Run Woodworks, 117 Lower Valley Road, Sadsbury Township. Responding units reported visible fire from 2 miles out which prompted the working fire dispatch with 3 additional tankers. On arrival, crews were faced with heavy fire conditions within a 50' x 100' woodshop with nearby exposures.
At 04:02, command 52 ( Chief Reimold )requested the 2nd alarm assignment with an additional 4 tankers bringing apparatus from both Lancaster and Chester Counties to the scene. The fire was placed under control shortly after 06:00 A.M. with extensive overhaul. The final units were clear of the scene at 09:31 A.M.
