At 8:05 A.M. Station 42 (Gap ) along with surrounding mutual aid companies were dispatched to 733 Newport Ave. in Salisbury Township for a possible dwelling fire. First arriving Engine 42-2 reported heavy smoke showing from the 2nd floor. Engine 52-1 ( Capt. Stoltzfus ) arrived on scene with the crew establishing horizontal ventilation, before going to the 2nd floor for fire suppression. Tanker 52-1 ( Kellon ) arrived establishing the water supply to Rescue 42. All crews worked very well together in a coordinated effort to bring the fire under control
at 8:37 A.M. After Salvage and overhaul operations crews were released at 9:44.
