Early Wednesday Morning at 03:58, E/T 52-1 (W/5) was dispatched to cover Chester County Station 23 ( Avondale ) while they fought a fire in New Castle County, Delaware. At 04:58 E/T 52-1 was dispatched as part of the 3rd Alarm assignment to Biddle Ave. & Mill Road to Assist Wilmington City Fire Department. E/T 52-1 was placed in the large water shuttle to supply numerous fol-da-tanks while the crew assisted at the fill and dump sites. The industrial complex was a total of five buildings, four and five stories in height covering an area of five City blocks all totally involved. In addition to numerous Delaware Fire Companies, multiple companies from several counties in New Jersey, as well as Chester and Lancaster Counties from Pennsylvania worked the incident until just before noon. E/T 52-1 cleared the scene at 13:00 hours providing 27,500 gallons of water.
