By Firefighter Ken Baker
July 5, 2016

At 06:00 hours, the members of the Christiana Fire Company were advised through Lancaster County 911 of a possible telephone pole on fire in the area of Lower Valley Road between Orchard Buck Road and Brick Mill Road.

Brush 52-1 made a response at 06:07 hours and arrived on scene 3 minutes later and confirmed a wire down at the intersection of Lower Valley Road and Noble Road in Sadsbury Township.

Squad 52-1 followed about 1 minute later and all 52 crews assisted with detouring traffic and keeping the scene safe while PPL was made aware of the poles involved.

Once safe to return, all 52 crews cleared the scene and returned to the station available at 06:28 hours.

Christiana Fire Company wants to remind all of our residents that wires and transformers can be deadly and if you witness any sparking, fires or wires down to call 911 immediately so that they can be attended to quickly.

Units: Brush 52-1, Squad 52-1
