June 20, 2016

At 17:41 hours, Lancaster County Wide Communications (911 Center) alerted the volunteers from Station 52 to a possible vehicle accident in the area of Liberty Street and Zion Hill Road in the borough of Atglen.

Fire Company services were needed after a property damage accident with no injuries left a vehicle leaking fluids onto the roadway.

Engine 52-1 went responding within 4 minutes of dispatch and arrived on location to help with spill control until the vehicles were able to be moved out of the roadway. Squad 52-1 arrived on location at 17:56 hours to assist with clean up and traffic control.

We would like to remind everyone that injuries can occur in a motor vehicle accident - even if driving at a slow rate of speed. Wearing your seatbelt can help prevent major injuries if the event you are involved in a collision.
