Motor Vehicle Accident in the 2310 Box (AND LATE NIGHT RUN TO SOUTHERN CHESTER COUNTY)

Just a few hours after completing the weekly training night at the firehouse, the members from Station 52 were alerted at 23:45 hours for a Motor Vehicle Accident with possible entrapment in front of 403 Noble Road in Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County.

Chief 52 (Reimold) was the first to arrive on the scene and reported an accident with heavy damage to two vehicles with a total of 6 patients, 4 BLS and 2 ALS. Chief 52 requested an additional ambulance and 2 medics to the scene due to both patient symptoms and damage to the vehicles.

Capt 52 (Lofgren) marked enroute, as well as Engine 52-1 with a crew of 6, at 23:50 and upon their arrival, Captain 52 (Lofgren) assumed command and instructed the engine crew to begin patient treatment and vehicle stabilization. The engine crew stabilized the vehicles while FF/EMT Yost and FF/EMR Moore performed the triage of the patients and treatment while BLS units where enroute.

Tanker 52-2, Squad 52-1 and Rescue 42 crews arrived on scene and assisted with depowering the vehicles, patient care and loading them into the BLS units on the scene. Another ALS unit was requested to meet up with CC Ambulance 8-1 with a patient; raising the total of ALS units to 3 for the call.

Station 52 crews remained on the scene while the PSP Troopers completed their investigation and reports for the incident. Once the troopers were completed, the crew from 52 cleared the roadway of debris and fluids in order for the road to be safe for others to travel on.

All 52 units cleared the MVA scene at 01:48 hours and returned to the station.

Just a few moments later (02:17), Tanker 52-1 was dispatched to stand-by at Avondale Fire Company, Station 23 (Chester County) while their crews were busy on a working Barn Fire.

Tanker 52-1 marked enroute at 02:19 hours and was on scene at Avondale Fire Company until they were released at 05:24 Hours Tuesday morning.
