Two call Friday had the Christiana volunteers running a reported Barn earlier in the day and then a Dwelling – Mobile home to wrap up the evening.

The first fire of the day came in to Lancaster County Dispatch at 0854hrs by callers reporting a 30 x 50 horse barn on fire in the area of route 41 and the Lancaster / Chester county line. The 2312 box was struck bringing Christiana units along with Gap (Full Company), and Keystone Valley for a Rescue. On arrival units confirmed the location to be 10 Sadsbury Lane with the fire to be extinguished by the homeowner. Command 52 (Chief 42) held the response to just 52 and 42 units. Units cleared at 0928hrs.

The evening run came in at 2041hrs requesting an Engine and Tanker company assist to Cochranville for a reported mobile home fire at 842 Gap Newport Pike in West Fallowfield, Chester County. Local PD arrived soon after dispatch reporting a well involved structure. Engine 52-1 with its crew arrived and stretched 2 handlines to side “D” of the structure while Tanker 52-1 arrived and fed a unit from KVFD while sending crew to fire suppression on side “A”. Tanker 52-2 also arrived to deliver several loads of water to the scene.

Christiana crews worked for several hours before returning to station just after 2330hrs.
