At 1548hrs Monday afternoon, volunteers from the 52 house were alerted for Brush 52-1 to assist Cochranville Fire (Chester County Station 27) on a reported Brush Fire at 3771 Bailey Crossroads Road in West Fallowfield, Chester County. Brush 52-1 streeted within minutes arriving first in on a fast moving woods fire involving approximately 3 acres in steep and rugged terrain. Additional 52 units also responded as additional manpower and resources were needed. Mutual Aid units from Bart, Westwood, Forestry 17 and Keystone Valley also assisted during the incident. 52 units clear at 1807hrs.

While crews worked the woods incident, 52 tones were hit again for Tanker 52-1 as part of a Dwelling fire assist to Sadsburyville Fire (Chester County Station 31) at 401 Fox Trail in Sadsbury Township, Chester County. Tanker 52-1 fielded 7 personnel and responded within moments before being recalled as part of a response downgrade to 31 units only.

Last run of the day came in at 2159hrs with a reported vehicle accident in the area of 403 South Bridge Street in Christiana Borough. The caller was reporting a vehicle into the creek on its side with a patient still inside. Duty 52 (Deputy Fisher) marked up within moments receiving the additional from County radio. Additional information coming in had the incident upgraded to a class 1 incident with the patient having a possible head injury. Engine 52-1, Tanker 52-1 and Squad 52-1 all made the response with full crews. Duty 52 arrived confirming the patient out of the vehicle and directed EMS for patient care. Fire crews arrived to control hazards and assist in the retrieval of the vehicle by Null’s Towing. 52 units clear at 2303hrs.
