The annual Christiana Fireman’s Banquet was held Friday evening March 28 at the Revere Tavern in Paradise. Members gathered with friends and family, local officials and special guests for an evening of fellowship and camaraderie. MC (Captain Lofgren) gave the welcome followed by Chaplain Baker’s blessing on the food. Dinner was served followed by desert and a brief slide show highlighting happenings in 2013.

Next up were speeches from Chief Reimold and President Moore with presentations of awards.

Auxilliary Members, Municipality Representative’s, Mutual Aid Companies and local support businesses were also recognized as being a part of our very successful organization. Many thanks to the persons attending for your support throughout the year.

It was only fitting that the last presentation of the evening be by a special guest and his family. Gabe Herdter, 10yrs old, was introduced along with his family who gave a rendition of a recent emergency in their family and how he cared for his sick grandmother who was suffering from Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Gabe who was also suffering from CO poisoning, was able to put into action care that he learned while attending the 2013 Kids Fire Experience - Kids Camp, A camp put on by Christiana Fire members each summer for youth throughout the area. Great job Gabe!
